Thomas Yale was born about 1590, at Plas Grono, Wales.He was the son of David and Frances (Lloyd) Yale.He married Anne Lloyd about 1612. They had 2 sons, David and Thomas, and a daughter, Anne. Thomas died August 26, 1619, in Plas Grono, Wales.

The will of David Yale of Erddig Park and Plas Grono, near Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales; Chancellor of Chester; will dated 15 August 1625, probated at the Consistory Court, Chester, 16 June 1626, mentioned "David Yale, Thomas Yale, and Ann Yale, the children of my eldest son Thomas Yale late deceased."
