In Greek mythology, Thoosa (/θoʊˈoʊsə/, Greek: Θόωσα, translit. Thóōsa), also spelled Thoösa, was, according to Homer, the sea nymph daughter of the primordial sea god Phorcys, and the mother, by Poseidon, of the Cyclops Polyphemus.[1]
Toosa is also mentioned as the wife of the Trojan king Laomedont (Laomedon).
Thoosa was a sea nymph associated with swiftness and the mother of the Cyclops Polyphemus by the god Poseidon. She was the daughter of Phorcys but no mother is mentioned.
Note: Her mother was Cetus (Ceto), Goddess of Sea Monsters and the Dangers of the Sea.
