Erith's original list comprised his own family plus a few other individuals,all from Minster, Isle of Sheppey, Kent,but only 3 from the original list ended up in his party[including Erith himself],so it is uncertain whether the 7 substitute men all hailed from there. So far Thurston's parents have not been traceable,but his name has been common in Kent for centuries. Thurston=Thurstan,a Pagan Old Norse/Old English/Anglo-Saxon name meaning Thor's stone-an unusual 1st name in English tradition,actually an East Anglia surname-Viking influence was greatest on Britain's East coast.
