Timon Henricus der Kinderen werd te 's-Gravenhage geboren den 7den Mei 1823 uit het huwelijk van den toenmaligen bankier J.G. der Kinderen en A.C. Blom. Zijne voorbereidende studiën volbracht hij op het Gymnasium te dier plaatse, van waar hij in 1842 tot de universitaire lessen werd bevorderd. Te Leiden studeerde hij in de rechten, en promoveerde aldaar den 10den December 1847, [p. 160]

Illustrious family member,had 12 children,a Latin scholar of note,he graduated with a doctorate of law (honours) from Lieden University in 1842. Went to Batavia around the Horn of Africa in 1847, appointed Procurer General for the colonies1849,then Attourney General also in 1851 aged 28.Dedicated his life to public service without much recognition. He overhauled the colonies laws, made many famous reforms,pioneered a Legal system that was fair to all the cultures and districts of indonesia,this is still the basis of the law of indonesia today.He was also in charge of the armed forces pays and provisions, the colonies Taxation too. He was made a counsilor of the hogh court in 1861,Director of it in 1869 and became the first appointed Chief Justice of both High and low courts in 1870..He became Leiutenant Governor General in 1871 also.He was decorated by King William the 3rd Three times, Knight of Netherlands Lion -1861.Knight Grand Cross of Luxemberg 1864,Commander of the order of the Netherlads Lion in 1871. Also in appreciation for finding new and better laws suited to indigenous peoples customs the King of Siam awarded him The grand cross of the Order of the Crown of Siam (Thailand in 1871) The King of Spain made him a Comander of the order of Charles the Third in 1885 for the same reason. He was known and loved widley for his hospitality and Statesmanship but he was a very humble person.
