Timothy Bland was born on September 7, 1823 (a), son of William Bland and Susannah (Alderman) Bland. In the William Bland family, Timothy is brother of Jemima (1815); William H. (1835); Daniel (1817); David (1819); Safronia (1825); Hiram (1826); Eady (1827); James (1829); Rebecca (1831) and Sarah (1838) Bland.

On September 4, 1845, he married Jincy "Jane" Parrish. Their children are Mary; Sarah; Milton; Frank; Safronia; William Hillery (1856); Hiram; Rosa; Laura and Leonard Bland.

On August 12, 1893, Timothy Bland, age 69, died with burial in the Lake Cemetery, Metter, Candler County, Georgia.
