There is considerable contraversy surrounding the many Timothy Knapps and to whom they were married. This Timothy, without a doubt, is the son of Joshua, son of Nicholas. Birth listed in "History of Stamford," by E.B. Huntington - Pg. 162 His age is given as 16 in his father's inventory dated 1685 Marr: to Elizabeth SEAMAN is recorded at Greenwich, CT - ref: "American Marriages Before 1699."

Olmstead, justice of the peace. Elizabeth was born December 1673 or June 1675. She was the daughter of Thomas Seymour and Hannah Marvin. Elizabeth died June 17, 1713. He married Martha Weeks in Greenwich, Fairfield Co, CT, February 16 or 13 or 14, 1714/04. Martha and Timothy were married by Samuel Hoyt, justice of the peace. His first wife was Elizabeth, his second wife was Martha.
