Timothy Sisk was born about 1759. He passed away about 1825. [1]
From Sisk Book of Ages, page 158:
"at this writing few means for distinguishing among the men named Timothy Sisk appear to exist. The two Timothys located in the Hopkins County, Kentucky census of 1820 and 1830 have been distinguished from the older Timothy by the fact he expired about 1816. The youngest man of these three was the minister who left a will, is Timothy who expired in 1837." [1]
Of the three Timothy Sisks in Hopkins County, Kentucky, from circa 1800-1837, some assumptions are made to establish records. The youngest man, (Sisk-141), Timothy Sisk had his will probated in 1837. The oldest man, (Sisk-272) Timothy Sisk is believed to have died in 1816. In the 1820 Census, the remaining two men were referred to as Sr. (Sisk-547) and Jr. (Sisk-141), however, the practices of the time would have been to refer to an older man as Sr. and an younger as Jr., even if the men were not father and son, or even related.
In 1820, the man with children in his household is called Timothy Sisk Junior and is assumed to be Sisk-141, who died in 1837.
In 1820 Timothy Sisk Senior (Sisk-547) has a household of 2: 1 male over 45 years and 1 female over 45 years.
