Toivo Johannes Mylläri

Was born in Finland
in 1903.
to Lissu Wilhelmiina Tienharra and Kaapo Myllari

He came to Canada,
on board the Astraea from Finland

and 

the Megantic from England

in August of 1923.  

His Uncle Emmanuel and Aunt Adolfiina
lived in Suomi, Ontario - with many of his cousins.

He took a job on the CN Railway
January 16 , 1930

On April 7, 1930.
Toivo married Jenny Marie Tuominen in Port Arthur.
(Jenny arrived from Finland in June of 1929.)

They had two children:

Raymond
Aila (1935)

Jenny became ill and returned to Finland for medical care.
She could not return home during WW 2.

In 1935,
Toivo is living alone as a section man in Hillsport.

Toivo met Lily
and they moved to Jellico, Ontario.

They had two children:

Allan
Arnold

Oct. 25, 1948
Toino was driving a gas car home to Jellicoe
and hit
a second gas car, head on.
He was thrown from the car in the collision
and died before the Doctor could get to him.

There were two dead and four injured.

He is buried in the Riverside Cemetery
in Thunder Bay
