Biography
DNA. The unknown spouse of Jean Gaudet, married around 1622 had two daughters: Francoise and Marie. The Mothers of Acadia Maternal DNA project is conducting ongoing research to verify their origins. In 2010, Stephen White reported Francoise and Marie Gaudet had a J1b2 haplogroup. I don't know the details re how many of her descendants were tested to support this report. Ongoing test results are also reported here. As of May 2014, 10 descendants of Francoise and 9 descendants of Marie have consistently reported a J haplogroup, indicating European origins.
Research notes
Translation to English:
Stephen White notes written by Archange Godbout extract published in 1960 by French-Canadian Genealogical Society which shows that Jean Gaudet, 59 years old in 1727, therefore born about 1668, who is married with Marie Daussy, can not be the same Jean Gaudet that this is already in Canada for several years and married to Nicole Colleson in 1668.

____________
According to Janet Jehn: Adrian Bergeron came up with Marie Daussy, but he can't prove she really was Jean Gaudet's first wife. The Acadian Genealogist, Steve White doesn't accept her as the first wife. Some accounts say that Jacques Hebert and Marie Daussy are the parents of Etienne and Antoine Hebert.

Marie Daussy's mothers line while unknown belongs to the haplogroup J1B1 which has only been in Europe for 5,000 years. This information was collected by a dna test of the mtdna of a female who's maternal line goes to Marie Francoise Gaudet. ( Normally seen in records as Francoise Gaudet ) This Lineage has been suggested to have originated with the Phoenician culture
