CUYAHOGA FALLS Urma L. Grinder (Vallee), 84, passed away June 27, 2003.

Mrs. Grinder was born in Cuyahoga Falls and had resided there her entire life. She was a 1936 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, and had retired from the accounts payable department of B.F. Goodrich, with 25 years of service. After retire ment, she enjoyed cashiering for her son at Sinatra's Catering. She served on the Women's Board of the Summit County Juvenile Court, served in many capacities in Church Women United of Cuyahoga Falls, and was active in American Baptist Women's Ministries. She was a charter member of the Cuyahoga Falls Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in church activities, working with children in the Sunday School, and being a member of the Women's Fellowship and Sarah Circle. She looked forward to her SCAT trips to the mall and enjoyed eating out with her friends who drove her places, but especially looked forward to seeing her great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husbands, Paul Vallee and John D. Grinder of 40 years, and brother and sisters, Lucile Goldwood, Norma Roxbury, Dwight Goldwood, and Laila Gold wood, she is survived by her son, Lynn R. Vallee of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Tina (Don) White of Stow, Tony (Amy) Vallee of Cuya hoga Falls, and Traci Vallee of Cuyahoga Falls; great-grandchil dren, triplets Patrick, Emma, and Maria White; sister, Joyce R. (Dean) Haberkost; sister-in-law, with whom she took senior citizens' bus trips, Betty Jane Warren; sever al nieces and nephews; longtime friend, Liz Tuttle who drove her everywhere; stepchildren, John (Sylvia) Grinder of Akron, Dorothy Lee (Ted) Leighton of Akron, and LaMarion Grinder of California; and many stepgrandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Cuyahoga Falls Baptist Church, 1601 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221, Dr. Malcolm Hall officiating. Inter ment at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the church in her memory.
