About Victor Somerfeld
Victor was a carpet dealer/merchant, according to his IKG Application in 1938.
In 1938, as clear signs of trouble were observed in Europe, Victor filed an Application for Support to the IKG in Vienna. He named the following four individuals as his US relatives:
- Marie Wolfsthal and Rosa Wolfsthal, sisters of Victor's mother.
- Mina Goldring, likely a relative of Marie.
- Anna Glantzman, remarried widow of Victor's late uncle Samuel.
All four women were referenced in Victor's applications as aunts.
He survived the Holocaust and died in 1960. He was buried in the Vienna Jewish cemetery.
