Regina Somerfeld

Regina descended from a famous family of Jewish musicians from Galicia. In 1924, at the age of 22, Regina resigned from the Jewish faith. She married Henryk Taborski, an Austrian musician who was of the Christian faith.

Regina was listed as 'single' at the time she left the Jewish faith, which implies she married after 01.03.1924 (though it could be a question of 'civil' vs. 'religious marriage).

Regina's address in 1924 is the same as her mother's address in 1936.

In 1939 Regina was required to use the additional name of "Sara" according to a decree issued by the Reichs Minister of Interior and the Reichs Minister of Justice.

By August 2019, the headstone of Regina and Henryk Taborski is no longer present at their burial place in Zentralfriedhof, possibly because upkeep of the grave has been discontinued.
