Vishnu Nalapat Nalapat

Vishnu Nalapat converted to Christianity and took the name Kuria . His family exists as Nalapat Karayamparampath branch at Koratty Nalukettu. This conversion happened in the year 1790 when Tipu Sultan tried to cross Choorni River . Vishnu with his twio young sisters escaped and gave his sister Kunji in marriage to Kanmanath Unni and they established a branch of Nalapat at Thirunava . The younger one Lakshmi was seen by Eliyanghat Raja (Mooshakavansa of early kings of Kerala belonging to Karthaveerya Arjuna's progeny) at a Mamamka and due to her beauty he wanted to marry the girl.Thus he gave the ancient Snakeshrine of the royal branch with the gardenland around called Sreeagnivanam (Thiru theekaad) to her. My family branch is at Punnayurkulam in this area.
