About Pvt Walter Boner, WWI Marine Corps

Walter Boner, a former Brook resident died suddenly at Columbus, Ohio where he had gone to spend a few days. Mr. Boner had made his home in Columbus for eighteen years but for over a year had lived with his niece, Mrs. Glenn Patterson and husband, near Morocco.

He was born in Litchfield, Minn., June 14, 1884. His childhood was spent in Brook. He was a member of the Marine Corp for eight years and served during World War I.

Surviving are a brother, Floyd of Inglewood, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Esther Light of Brook. The body was brought to the Hershman & Weston funeral home where services will be held on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock and burial will be made in Riverside cemetery. Graveside services will be in charge of the Brook post American Legion.
