Patriotic Service Revolutionary War New Jersey -- He drew one half bushel corn for one two horse team, private property impressed into service, June 25, 1780. Wagon Master General's Department, Book # 1, page 49 from Adjutant General's Office, Trenton, NJ. This reference from the Trenton NJ State Library Archives. 1 Jul 1780 another team was pressed into service owned by Walter Wilson, of Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, NJ. NOTE: With an individual horse costing around one thousand dollars each, plus the price of each wagon. Walter Wilson's contribution was a considerable amount for that time.
His religion was Presbyterian and he was a Farmer. He was mashed up by a log falling on him when he was young. He was at a house raising and a log fell on him by the carelessness of some of the hands. His leg was broken and some of his ribs, and was injured inwardly.
