FROM RED LAKE FALLS NEWSPAPER: WILLIAM ROSE PASSES AWAY EMARDVILLE FARMER DIES AT FARGO HOSPITAL OF RUPTURED BOCK VESSEL ILL TWO MONTHS
William Rose, one of the prominent farmers of Emardville town and for more than twenty-two years a resident of Red Lake County, died at a Fargo hospital Saturday morning at 11:30 o'clock following a two months' illness. His death was caused by a ruptured blood vessel.
Mr. Rose was born in Pommer, Germany, April 5, 1857 and came to this country in 1891, settling first at Ferney, SD, where he resided for four years. From there he moved to Sabin, Clay County, where he lived four years and in 1899 came to Red Lake County and took a homestead in Emardville town where he has since resided. He married Miss Dorothy Langhoff in 1879 before coming to the United States. She survives him as do four children: Ferdinand Rose, of Groton, SD; Henry Rose of Carolside, Alberta, Canada; Mrs. John Paasch of Sabin; and Miss Eleanor Rose who lives at home. The funeral was held Tuesday from the home of Mrs. John Paasch near Sabin with the Rev. Mr. Arntz officiating. Mrs. Wm. Rose and Miss Eleanor Rose passed thru this morning from Sabin en route to home. They were accompanied by Ferdinand Rose and John Paasch who will visit there for a time.
Mr Rose immigrated in 1891, and was naturalized in 1902 ND death certificate, Cass County Reg #187 2
