Willem Brits (1938 - 1998)

Brief overview:

A multiple family murder took place on 5th July 1998, on Farm Klipplaatdrief, in Mpumalanga. Willem (60), his brother-in-law Johannes Hendrik Francois Robbertze (Jan) (61), and Johannes's wife, Jeanette Adriana Robbertze (56), were all shot dead.

A .303 rifle and bullets belonging to Mr Robbertze were found in a Mercedes-Benz which was abandoned about 12 km from the farm.

The Robbertze couple was found dead in the kitchen. Brits was found in the outside room, his hands tied behind his back.
