Willem (61), was murdered on his farm in Hekpoort, west of Johannesburg on Tuesday night 5th July 2005, police said. Lourens was working in his office next to the farm house around 22:00 when a gang of five robbers entered the house and overpowered his wife Edmon, police spokesperson Paula Nothnagel said. They tied her up, ransacked the house and went to the office. The woman heard gunshots and managed to untie herself and run to the office. She found her husband on the floor with a chest wound. He died at the scene.
