There had been speculation if his name was just William or William Thomas and why, if either of those, was he called Jeff. However, a descendant shared his gravemarker on Ancestry and it only shows Jeff Ainsworth:
From Ancestry:
Little Flock Cemetery, outside Jewett Texas
He is next to Granny Ainsworths, under a big cedar tree.

Cemetery name Little Flock Cemetery
Birth 1823 - Mississippi
Death 1870 - Jewett, Leon or Limestone Co., Texas, USA

The siblings listed on his Find-a-Grave page are a few of the known children of Thomas P. and Sarah (Finch) Ainsworth
There were two profiles for this same person (both added by the same profile manager), one with the middle name Patterson and the other with the middle name Thomas. The two profiles have been merged and the middle name removed to resolve that conflict and stop the conflict from showing up in the notifications of distant relatives. Hopefully the profile manager will research it further and add whichever middle name is correct. Documentation would be good.
