William (61), was shot dead and his 34 year old son wounded in an attempted hijacking, on 09/03/2006 in Boksburg.
Police spokesperson Superintendent Andy Pieke said the two were leaving a house they had visited when they were attacked in the driveway by three armed men. Pieke said William Bezuidenhout died on the scene after he was shot in the chest and thigh. His son Willie Bezuidenhout junior was rushed to hospital, wounded in the stomach and legs. "The father's wallet was taken. It is suspected that the men wanted to steal the vehicle."
