About William Booth, Archbishop of York
William Booth and his brother Laurence Booth both became an Archbishop of York.

William Booth or Bothe (died 12 September 1464) was Bishop of Lichfield, from 1447 before becoming Archbishop of York in 1452 which post he held until his death in 1464.
Before election to Lichfield, Booth was rector of Prescot Parish Church, Lancashire from 1441. He was provided to the see of Lichfield on 26 April 1447, and consecrated on 9 July 1447.[1]
Booth was provided to the see of York on 21 July 1452.[2]
Along with the brothers Richard Neville, Earl Warwick and John Neville, Lord Montagu, Booth led an army north in late summer 1463 and defeated an invasion of Scots who had invaded along with ex-king Henry VI and Margaret of Anjou.[3]
Booth died 12 September 1464.[2]
