The descendants of William Brewer of Virginia born 1752 have used him as their patriot ancestor for fighting against the British in the American Revolutionary War. Many of these descendants about 20 years ago then qualified for the Sons of the Revolution through descent from William.

Declarant was born in the State of Virginia in the County of Brunswick by then named.2 Declarant was removed when a small boy to the County of Orange in North Carolina where he resided, or in Chatham which was formed in part of Orange until after the war of the Revolution, about the [year] 1796 Declarant removed to the State of South Carolina and resided there six or seven years, when he removed to the County of Blount in the State of Tennessee where he has resided ever since = That Declarant knows of no documentary testimony by which he can prove his service, nor does he know of any person by whose testimony he can prove his service. He hereby relinquishes every claim whatever to a pension or annuity except the present and declares [his name] is not on the pension roll of the Agency of any State.
