About William Brumbaugh
William Brumbaugh was the oldest son of Jacob "Jockel" Brumbaugh and wife unknown. He moved from Bedford Co, PA with his wife Mary Martin and family about 1805 to farm near Amity OH about 6 miles west of Dayton.
He and his wife Mary had 6 children.

He was buried in what was then known as the John Vaniman (his sister-in-law's father-in-law) Cemetery on Eaton Pike 6 miles west of Dayton. Cemetery eventually became the Bear Creek - Hilgrove Cemetery.
