William Chandler Jr. born in England c1632, son of William Chandler Sr. he came to New England with his parents in 1637, when he was around 5 years old. He was only 7 when his father died. When he was 9 his mother married widower Dr John Dane. On 18 Aug 1658, William married his step-sister Mary Dane, in Andover. She was born in Ipswich Mass in 1638, the daughter of John and Eleanor (Clark) Dane.
William was a brick maker in Andover and kept an Inn on the road from Ipswich to Billerica. It was first licensed 17 Jun 1692. He was admitted a freeman in 1669.
