William Emery

Notes for WILLIAM EMERY:

Served as a private in Co. E, 64th NC Infantry, CSA during the WBTS. (last name spelled Emory) Records indicate he was about 18 years old when enlisted on Oct. 1, 1863. His name appears on a receipt for clothing on Dec. 8, 1864. There are no further records indicated except that he survived the war. *note: There is a Confederate Iron Cross at the grave located at Cooley Springs Bapt. Church in Chesnee S.C.
