William Worthington Evans

RootsWeb's World Connect Project and Winslowtree.com give a 3/10/1788 DOB in Tazewell, VA and 3/25/1878 DOD for William Evans. Several of the RWWCP entries list Anna America Dale as his wife, and some give c1760 as his DOB. Information on Anna Dale and William Evans is given on two sites, joepayne.org & corkyhyatt.com, that supports their marriage and descendants, but they do not provide evidence of a connection to Robert Evans. Corkyhyatt questions the connection due to the absence of any documentation. The 1788 birthdate is questionable for the William Evans named in Robert Evans' will(see Winslowtree.com). If the names are in order of birth, William is named between Martha (1763) and Dorothy (1765). Also, a 1788 DOB would have made him a minor when the will was written in 1800, and there are no special provisions made for his care or inheritance. I can also find no reliable documentation for the given c1760 DOB nor for c1764, which would be my guess.
