About William Beamesderfer Fasnacht
Piano Tuner, Band Musician Stricken William B. Fasnacht, 65, band musician and self-employed piano tuner, succumbed to a heart attack yesterday afternoon at his home, 332 Chestnut St., West Reading. Composer of a number for a 40-member band, he was a member of the Ringgold Band for 32 years, and also played with the Philharmonic Band, the Reading Symphony Orchestra and John Cook's German Band. He was a charter member of reading Local 135, Musicians' Union AFL-CIO, and was affiliated with the West Reading Fire Company. Born in Schoeneck, Lancaster County, a son of the late Urias and Susan (Beamesderfer) Fasnacht, he is survived by his widow, Elizabeth (Rollman) Fasnacht. Also three sisters: Ellen, widow of Phares Treisch, Schoeneck; Annie, widow of John Lutz, Denver, and Rebecca, wife of James Goodheart, west Reading, and three brothers: Harvey of Schoeneck; Stephen of Blainsport, and Alvin, of Schoeneck R.D. 1. Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading, the Rev. David F. Newhart officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
