Although it is clear that Thomas was a religious desenter who fled England for Leyden, Holland, the rest of the background of Thomas and Anna is still somewhat unclear.

An alternate date of birth for Thomas is 09/23/1589, and it is possible that Anna was born about 1600. It is unclear if Anna was born in England or Holland. If she was born in England, and she and Thomas met in England, then thye may have fled to Holland together. However, other acounts show Anna being born in Holland, and she and Thomas also being married in Holland. This would sugest that only ThomaS fled England for Holland, and once there, met his future bride.

A marriage date of May 1, 1621 is found on the internet. Not confirmed.
