Albert Denneen was placed on trial on a charge of wounding with intent to murder one William Leeming Hodgkinson, a police constable, on January 22nd last in a railway train, a short distance beyond Campbelltown.

A special license for hawking in a vehicle was granted to William Leeming Hodgkinson, an ex-constable, who was shot by a lad recently whilst conveying him to Picton on a charge of horsestealing, the next licensing day being the 30th January, and applicant stating he had no other means of earning a livelihood.

Death.— We have to report the death of Mr W. Hodgkinson, which sad event took place at the Berry Cottage Hospital on Monday last. Deceased was a brother of Mr H. Hodgkinson, storekeeper, Nowra.

HODGKINSON.—In sad remembrance of our dear husband and father, William Leeming, who departed this life at Berry, March 20, 1898. Inserted by his loving wife, and children Alice, Willie, Arthur, and Claude. Lord, rest his soul.
The family then moved to Tasmania at some stage before 1914 - when son Willie enlisted (at Albany WA), his mother's address was Hobart, Tasmania. Private 1152 William Hodgkinson was wounded at Gallipoli, then died at sea on a Hospital Ship of his wounds on the 1st May 1915.
He was buried at Chatby Military Cemetery, Alexandra, Egypt, Plot E, Grave 93 (Army records). The Mercury (Hobart Tas) Mon 2 May 1921
HODGKINSON,-In sad and loving memory of our dear son and brother Will, died of wounds, Gallipoli, 1st May, 1915;
also Sergt. Walter J. Hodgkinson, killed in action, France, 14th November, 1916, be loved brother-in-law and uncle. (Both Anzacs, 1st Battalion, N.S.W.).

HODGKINSON.-February 6, 1945, at her daughter's residence, 56 Willoughby Street, Kirribilli, Catherine (Kate) Hodgkinson, widow of the late William Hodgkinson, beloved mother of William (1st A.I.F. deceased), Arthur, Alice (Mrs. Antill), Claude (deceased), and dear grandmother of Claude (2/1st A.I.F.) and Kitty, aged 88 years. Privately interred Church of England Cemetery, Northern Suburbs, on February 7.
