William John Johnson:

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 pm in the S.D.A. Church of Shafter for William John Johnson, 66, of 18443 Poplar Ave., Shafter, who died Dec. 3, 1956, in his home. Elder Harvey Retzer will officiate and interment will follow in the family plot at the Shafter cemetery. The Armstrong Mortuary, Shafter, is in charge of all arrangements. Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 24, 1890 in Canada and had lived in Shafter for the last 33 years. He was a farmer by occupation and worked his own farm in Shafter for that length of time. He is a longstanding member of the S.D.A. Church. Survivors include his widow Lydia Johnson of Shafter; 2 sons, Armen Johnson of Albany, OR, and Eugene Johnson of Shafter; 4 daughters, Mrs. Jerald Sexton of Shafter; Miss Geneva Johnson of Bakersfield; and Miss Darlene Johnson of Shafter and Mrs. William Thesman of San Diego; brother, Jake Johnson of Shafter, and 6 grandchildren.
