ESTER LAMPTON administratrix with ye will annexed to Estate of WILLIAM LAMPTON deced returned this inventory .. and was ordered to be recorded. Bond of HESTER LAMPTON in the sum of 200 pounds dated 6th December 1723. Bondsmen William Skrine. James Kay.

In 1712, William Lampton and his family apparently moved from Charles County, Maryland to Virginia. In November 1715, he was a widower, with two young children, William and Ann and married Frances (Martin) White. In her will made 24 April 1716, Frances left property to William and Ann Lampton, her son-in-law and daughter-in-law, (terminology for stepchildren). In early 1717 William married Esther.
