William Lee

William's birthdate, and his mother, are uncertain. He may have been a later child of Anne Lee, or the first child of Mary Thornton Lee. He seems to have gone west with his older brother(s) and family/ies rather than south with his younger (half?) brothers.

He is one of the leading candidates for father of Samuel Lee (son of *a* William Lee and Catherine Graves), It has been found that Samuel is not descended from Charles Lee m. Ann Dabbs, but other names remain in the hat.
