Neil (James "Pearson") married first a Mary MacNeil and had a daughter who died in infancy. In a second marriage he married Margaret (James, Alexander) MacDonald, St. Columba (see 365). They lived in lona and their family: James N.P., Hector, Dan, Mary, Elizabeth, and Flora. 242
Elizabeth married first Thomas "Ban" MacNeil, Iona (see 193), had a family; and in a second marriage she married William MacKenzie, Washabuck (see 439) and had a family.

William Ross came to Washabuck from North East Margaree. His son John married Mary "Og" (Lachlan) MacLean, Washabuck (see 487). They lived in Washabuck for only a short time and moved back to Margaree. Their family was three sons and three daughters. One daughter, Kate, married James (Murdock) MacKenzie (see 438), had a family of ten, only one of whom, William, settled in Lower Washabuck (see 439). • 572

This man settled at Washabuck when he came from Barra in 1817. He was married to Lucy, daughter of Donald McNeil, Piper.
Issue: — Donald, Donald, James, Rory, John, Hector, Archie, Mary, Mary, Katie, Sarah.
James married Kate Ross, of Margaree. They had ten of a family, but William is the only one of them in Washabuck.
