Know all men by these Insents that I, Inoses Peace of Stonington, in the County of New London In the Colony of Connecticut in New England for & in consideration of Twenty Pounds Lawfull money to me in hand Paid by William Middleton of Stonington in the County & Colony above Received to my full satisfaction & therefore do give Covenent____sell & comfirm unto him, the said William Middleton, his heirs &assigns forever one cirtain lot or parcel of land with my mentioned house standing thereon situate in the Stonington containing by estension Twelve Square rods viz two rods wide & six rods in length Bounded as follows, beginning at a cornerstone standing three Rods &three feet from the North West corner of said House which ____stone stands on the east of & adjoyning to a stonewall in the east line of land belonging to the heirs of James Varnan Deacon. Thence running east two rods to a _____stone, thence southerly on a parralal line with said stone wall six rods to a _____stone thence west two rods to said stone wall thence Northerly by said wall to the ____stone first mentioned, said land being part of a tract layed out to Elevathan Minors To have & hold the above bargained _______ with all the appurtances thereof, unto him the aforesaid William Middleton, his Heirs & Assigns for ever to his & their own Proper ____ & behoof forever & I the said Inoses Peaco do for myself, my heirs Executors & Administrators do covenant with the said William Middleton, his heirs & assigns that I have good right to sell &dispose of the same in manner as above & that the same is free and clear of all incumbrances what so ever & further I the said Inoses Peaco do the by these porports bind my self, my heirs etc to warrant &defend the above granted & bargained _____ _____ _______ to William Middleton, his heirs & assigns against all lawfull claines or demands whatsoever _____ whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal in Stonington, this 16th day of May AD in this 33 year of his majasties Reign singed, sealed & ____ Stonington in New London County the day & date above written personally appeared Capt Moses Peaco & acknowledged the above written instrument to be his own act & deed.
