William Middleton

William (2), (who married Judith), moved north to Ferryhill to take over a pub called the ‘King’s Head’, but after a dispute with the brewery over payments, he was declared bankrupt. He then took a job at Consett Ironworks. His son Norman William worked at the Ironworks as a clerk, and in turn his son William (3) - Bill - worked there as a joiner in the pattern-making shop. Norman William was born on 13 August 1884, and married Annabella Latimer on 24 August 1912. Annabella was born on 04 October 1887.
