William Mulligan, 72, died at the Mary McClellan Hospital on Tuesday of last week, following an illness of several months.
He was born on August 16, 1880, in the Town of Jackson and had lived in Washington County all his life. He operated a farm for many years on Oak Hill.
Besides his wife, the former Mary Coyne, he is survived by two daughters, Eloise Mulligan of Cambridge, and Mrs. Blanche McAuliffe of Hoosick Falls; one son, Robert of Cresskill, New Jersey; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Decker and Mrs. Catherine Sheridan of Hoosick Falls and Mrs. Susan Wolfrum of North Hoosick; three brothers, John of Greenwich and Edward of Cambridge, and six grandsons.
A solemn requiem mass was celebrated on Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Patrick's Church, with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
