About William Patrick Myers
GEDCOM Note
Per birth certificate, was 9th child of Patrick Myers and Margaret Hoey************************************ My response to Mary Casey after further research:
Patrick Myers had an older sister, Mary. She married John Sullivan October 3, 1869. The 1880 census shows them living at the same house (130 and 131 Cedar Street, Boston MA) as Patrick Myers, his wife Margaret (Hoey) and their 2 oldest children (at the time) Michael and Mattie. It looks like William went to live with his Uncle and Aunt, not family friends!!

Nov 09, 2018 I My mother's dad was William Myers. He too was born in Nashua, NH. The story I was told is that he was the youngest sibling and his dad died when he was 3 mos. and his mom when he was 6 months. All his siblings went to live with other relatives but no one was able to take an infant. Family acquaintances named Sullivan took my grandfather in but they did not stay in touch with his other siblings. He lived in Roxbury, MA. His nickname was Sal for the Sullivans. He only knew his youngest sister Mame and they stayed close. I did meet her and her husband Jack Manning. They lived in Charlestown, MA. I always thought it was so sad for him that he didn't know his other siblings. In my memories, my grandfather was the nicest man. He loved to do the soft shoe(dance) and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He worked at the Commonwealth Amory and took care of a horse named Chico! Funny how if Ancestry was available in his time, he could have met his siblings
