William Perry [Marine "Alexander" 1788]

William PERRY married Ann SCOBLE by Banns in England.

William was a Sergeant in Royal Marines and he arrived in Sydney Cove on 26/1/1788 on "Alexander". Ann accompanied him.

William and Ann were officially married in Sydney on 1/2/1789 and they had the following children

• Thomas 30/6/1789
• Kezia 8/6/1791

William and Ann and their children left the colony in 1791 on "Gorgan"

NOTE: There is a discrepancy - some records say that William died at sea on 3/6/1792, others say that their son Thomas died instead

Further to the above note, A diary entry by Ralph Clark aboard the Gorgon stated that the "Youngest Boy of Sergt. Perry died a little before Sunset". This would suggest that it was indeed Williams son that was the one who had died
