About William Hazen Rogers
William Hazen Rogers was one of three brothers to co-found the famed Rogers Brothers silver company in Meriden, Connecticut, known as the "Silver City" due to the many internationally-known silver companies based there that combined to make more than 70% of all silver products sold in the United States. In 1898, long after the death of William, Rogers Brothers became part of the International Silver Company.
Per Adler:
... William Hazen Rogers became an apprentice silversmith in 1820. Two older brothers, Asa and Simeon, soon joined him. The Rogers brothers worked in Hartford, Connecticut. From 1847, the Brothers placed their trademark on silver spoons. The new electroplated pieces were so popular that other individuals named Rogers actually joined with the original Rogers brothers just for the privilege of using the Rogers Brothers name. ...
Note: Adler is incorrect about the birth order; Asa and Simeon were both younger than William.
Family
William was a son of Asa Rogers (1756 - 1804) and his second wife, Sarah "Sally" Reynolds (1777 - 1834).

- Nancy Wilson, b. 1811 - d. 1876
William and Parthenia had no children. William and Nancy had a son, William Henry Rogers, b. 1832 - d. 1896.
