William James Salmons

William Salmons was born on 12 December 1779 at Henry County, Virginia. He was the son of Rowland Salmons and Elizabeth ?. William Salmons married Elizabeth Griffith, daughter of Benjamin Griffith, on 26 December 1798 at Rocky Mount, Franklin County, Virginia. William Salmons appeared on the census of 1820 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as head of house with the following people iiving in the house: 1 male under age 10, 1 male between the ages of 10 and 16, 1 male between the ages of 16 and 18, 2 males between the ages of 18 and 26, 1 male between the ages of 26 and 45, 2 females under age 10, 2 females between the age of 10 and 16, and 1 female between the age of 26 and 45. He moved to Carter County, Kentucky in 1821. He died circa 1844 at Carter County, Kentucky.
