About William Carl Sene
Was a radioman in the Army Air Corp in B29s. They were seeing if they could fly over the Himalaya's how far they would get flying to Japan. They went down in the Himalayas and were captured by headhunters for a month. Then they were sent to different villages to get back to American lines. They were led from village to village. At one place they were being led right into the Japanese , when a villagers ran up to them and led them the right way. It took sometime to get back to American lines. Their families were notified they were missing action. One soldier did die when the airplane went down. My uncle always worried about why he didn't get out of the plane. The pilot was missing also but was found a few days later, near the plane, he was OK. My uncle was in the hospital quite ill afterwards for a couple of weeks. He didn't even get to be in the picture in the magazine as he was in the hospital so long.
