William H Swartz

William H Swartz, 80 years of age, the son of Jonas and Permelia Pitts Swartz, was born in Locke township on March 4, 1860, and for many years a resident of this place, died Sunday afternoon at the county infirmary where he has made his home for a number of years.

Mr Swartz was twice married and is survived by a son, Jesse Swartz, who lives near Topeka, Kansas.

Other surviving relatives are a half-brother, Charles Grove of this place; four nieces and three nephews, Mrs Jacob Jacomet of Michigan, Russell and Charles DeLanghe of Lakeville, Mrs Walter Oster of Nappanee, Mrs Charles Gordon of Elkhart, Mrs Ralph Fulk and Kenneth Kline of this place.

His brother, John Swartz, died March 7, 1939.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 Wednesday in the Lienhart mortuary, in charge of Rev Gordon Kemble. Burial in the North Union cemetery.
