Born at Telegherry (spelling varies with source) near Stroud, accidently shot with 'horse pistol' boxing day 1886, Stayed with Frank Turton until New Years Eve after trip to Maitland hospital.

Married Ada 9/3/1887 at Morpeth.

Bought Farm at Raworthin 1889 & moved from Ash Island where he had been working his fathers farm. Called the house Linconita as a combination of thier childrens names

He had been on Maitland District Council before the introduction of local government, but continued his work with the East Maitland Municiple Council & the Tarro Shire. He was also connected to theHunter River Agricultural and Horticultural Association and the Morpeth Regatta Committee
