William WALL (aka William HARDING) was born c1764

William was married with 2 sons (Richard and William)

He was convicted of stealing (clothes) and sentenced to 7 years transportation. William arrived in Sydney Cove on 26/1/1788 on "Alexander". William's wife and 2 sons remained in England at this time.

In 1790 William had a relationship with Grace BROWN that resulted in 6 children.

On 13/6/1808 William married Mary Ann McGUIRE at Sydney and they had 3 children. William and Mary Ann separated in 1817.

William returned to England on 26/3/1819 on "Shipley"

William returned to Australia on 31/12/1920 on "Hebe" -

William died in Sydney on 20/2/1821 "suicide by hanging". NOTE: at the time of his death William was living with his wife Mary Ann NOTE : There is a letter written to Mr. Balmain from the brothers of William Wall first fleeter. The brothers are George and Richard Wall. The letter asks if both of William Wall’s sons could go to the colony and one could work his passage. Richard Wall arrives on the Glatton in 1803 and William arrives on The Hewitt in 1915.
