I KNOW he was in the military because of his records for No. 4475 (in 1895).
They list his family in Banagher:

Essie
Timothy
Richard
Joseph
Annie
It also indicates he's already in the 3rd Rgt of Leinster, which matches up with the enlistment document of 1895.</line><line /><line>SO...in 1894 there's a William Walsh from Banagher who enlists. His No is 1175 (very similar to 4475 and I'm wondering if they transcribed it incorrectly when he re-enlisted).</line><line /><line>I do NOT think that No 704 (696), 4459 OR 7144532 / 40115 (from 1920) are our William.</line><line /><line>His death certificate lists, I believe, a daughter. When did he get married? To whom?</line><line />
