WILLETT, WILLIAM, SENR., Prince George's Co. 10 July 1772; 27 Aug 1772 To son Edward Willett 5 shillings, tract "Beall's Craft," 43 acres, part of 'tract "Beallington," 87 acres, part of tract "Restons Addition" 8 acres, set of pewterers tools, provided he pay to my four youngest sons, Samuel, George, John and James Willett, £80 if any die without Issue above to survivors. Above to my wife Mary Willett, extx., during her lifetime but if she marries, said bequest to above son, To son William Willett, tract part of Beallington, 60 acres bought of William Harper, bricklayer, and three acres bought of Susannah Magruder, and 5 shillings. To son Griffin Willett, tract part of "Beallington" 49 acres, 5 shillings, if he dies without issue to my son Samuel Willett if he dies without issue to my son George Willett if he dies without issue to John Willett if he dies without issue to my youngest son James Willett. I give my son THOMAS WILLETT and his tract called "Lick Hill belonging to me. To My son WILLIAM WILLETT, I give tract called Beal's Craft" of 43 A. and 87 A of tract called "Bealington" being pt where I now live. To my son JAMES WILLETT, all :remaining tracts of land called "Bealington" with his 2 bros, EDWARD and WILLIAM WILLETT. John Grimes, born 25 March 1736/7, seven years old on 25 March 1743/4 when the Prince George's County court bound him as an apprentice to William Willett until the age of twenty-one. The court ordered that his master teach him to read the bible and give him a suit of clothes at the completion of his indenture [Court Record 1743-4, 275].

Prince George's Land Records 1743-1746 - Liber BB - Page 515. I, William Harper of PG, bricklayer, for 50 £, sell to William Willett of PG, planter, 60 acres of land which I bought of Edward Willett, being part of a tract of land called Bealinton. Also, 2 horses, 3 mares, 7 cattle, 13 hogs, 2 pots, 3 dishes, 8 plates, and 1 bed and furniture. If, however, I pay to sd William Willett, 50 £ sterling 12 months after the date of these presents, then this present bill of sale, shall cease. And as part of the above bargained premises are perishable, in case of loss by death or otherwise, then I hereby oblige myself to make good to the sd William Willett, such deficiency of the 12 months afd for payment. Indenture made October 21, 1769; between William Willett of PGCo and James Swann and Ann Swann his wife of Baltimore County, Maryland of the one part and Joseph Cole of PGCo of the other part; whereas Edward Willett of PGCo by his testament and last will devised unto his children Thomas Willett, William Willett, James Willett and Ann Swann a tract called "Little Dean" containing 103 acres and whereas William Willett together with James Willett two of the devisees did on April 6, 1758 in or into a bond with condition for the conveying and making over all their parts of the aforesaid tract for valuable consideration secured to be paid and whereas Joseph Cole has since paid and satisfied the said William Willett and and Swann (as well as the said James Willett) their respective parts of the consideration for their undivided parts of the tract and the said James Willett being now removed from this province so that he cannot join as party hereto. Now this indenture witness that William Willett and James Swann and Ann Swann his wife in consideration aforesaid as also in consideration of 5 shillings sterling money paid by Joseph Cole have sold all their several and respective parts of the aforesaid tract called "Little Dean" being two fourths or one moiety of the same undivided tract beginning at a bounded white oak in the given line surveyed for Daniel Elliott and bounded by the Beaverdam containing 103 acres.
