William Bohne, 70, of 261 Watch Street died unexpectedly Wednesday noon.

Mr. Bohne, son of the late Ernest and Caroline Bohne, was born September 29, 1890 in Elgin and made his home here all his life. He was employed at the Elgin Corregated Box Company until he retired three years ago.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical & Reformed Church and the Bible Class of the church.; a member of Watch City Aerie 1047, Fraternal order of Eagles for 52 years and the Elgin Turnverein.

He is survived by his widow, Minnie Peters Bohne; two brothers, Henry and Fred of Elgin; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Meyers and Mrs. William (Clara) Sell of Elgin.

He is preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Carl, and Edward, and four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Reeh, Mrs. Christina Harms, Mrs. Minnie Guptail, and Mrs. Emma Bentley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 at the Wait, Ross, Allanson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Edwin J. Hoefer, pastor of St. Paul’s Evangelical & Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be Bluff City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel after noon Friday, where a memorial has been established for St. Paul’s Church.
