Wilma Gingrich

Obituary, WATERLOO REGION RECORD, Kitchener, Ontario, Nov. 10, 2008 GINGRICH, Wilma - Peacefully, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, November 7, 2008 at her home with her sisters at her side. Wilma Gingrich age 80 years of Elmira. Daughter of the late Eli and Ida (Shantz) Gingrich. Loving sister of Olive Shantz, Eileen Martin and Doris Gingrich all of Elmira, Fern and Harold Metzger of Floradale. Wilma is lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Clayton Shantz and Vernon Martin. Wilma was part owner of the Elmira Nursing Home along with her sister Doris and Beatrice Snyder for 28 years. She was a faithful member of the Elmira Mennonite Church. At Wilma's request cremation has taken place. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira for a memorial visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Wilma's life will be held at the Elmira Mennonite Church, on Wednesday, November 12., at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steven Janzen and Pastor Renee Sauder officiating. In her memory, donations to Mennonite Central Committee or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
