Olive Shantz

SHANTZ, Olive Passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, Elmira, at the age of 86 years. Olive Shantz (nee Gingrich) was the beloved wife of the late Clayton Shantz (2006). Dear mother of Donna and Craig Cameron of Elora, Keith and Liz of St. Jacobs, Elwood and Marsha of Georgetown, Stewart and Jane of Elmira, Kathy and Steve Hiller of Elmira, Gloria and Stew Bauman of Texas. Loved grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Sister of Eileen Martin of Elmira, Doris Gingrich of Elmira and Fern Metzger of Floradale. She was predeceased by her parents Eli and Ida Gingrich, sister Wilma Gingrich (2008), and brothers-in-law Vernon Martin and Harold Metzger. Olive will be fondly remembered for her quiet and gentle spirit. The family will receive relatives and friends at Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira, on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Interment will take place in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church (6772 Eighth Line W., RR# 1, Elora).
