Yechezkel "Oskar" Taub

Oscar Taub was born about 1880 in Austria.

In 1904 he immigrated to the US.

In about 1913 he married his wife Rose.

In 1915 he was living at 397 Wyona Street in Brooklyn, New York with his wife Rose and their son Arthur. Also living with them is a "brother" Morris Angerman and a "sister" Marion. Oscar's occupation was listed as "Manager Baths." Speculating from the 1920 and 1930 Federal Census it may be that the "brother" and "sister" are actually "brother-in-law" and "sister-in-law" and sisters of Oscar's wife Rose.

In 1920 he was living at 251 Tenth Street in Manhattan, New York with his wife Rose and their children and a sister-in-law Miriam Angerman. There were 14 families living at this same address and none of them were listed as the owner.

In 1925 he was living at 401 Wyona Street in Brooklyn, New York with his wife Rose and their children. It is also noted that he was naturalized in Kings County in 1925 on the census in 1925.

In 1930 he was living at 747 Blake Avenue in Brooklyn, New York with his wife Rose and their children and two people listed as sister-in-law: Carry Angerman age 23 and Florence Friedman with a hard to read age. Possibly age 19? Oscar's occupation was listed as a massager in a bath house.
